Amy Carlson
Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th in 1968) is an American actress best known for her role as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.
Childhood and early life
Carlson was raised in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson, her father being a schoolteacher. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinois]), close to Chicago). She is of Swedish origin and has roots in Smaland.
Career
1986-1992: Early career and college
She first came to Hollywood by working as a background actress in the film Lucas with Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim, as well as Winona Ryder. Later she followed her older sister Betsy to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
